Visit the Cannon River Winery
Sample hand-crafted wines and tour Minnesota’s wine country.

Try the best new restaurants
A list of some of the best new restaurants in the area, from Minnesota Monthly, by Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl.

Travel to the North Shore for smoked fish shops
A drive along the North Shore of Lake Superior is not complete without a stop at one or all of the smoked fish shops along the way. Shops specialize in local fish caught from the waters of the big lake, naturally, including trout, whitefish, herring, and ciscoes.

Taste the creations of hot new chefs in the Twin Cities
You’ve heard it said, again and again: chefs are the new rock stars. And they’re rocking it right here. The Twin Cities has one of the country’s most vibrant restaurant scenes, full of great food, fresh young talent, and a future so bright we ought to wear shades.

Sample SPAM
The SPAM Museum celebrates the unique, canned meat product that rose to prominence as a staple for troops and allies in World War II. SPAM was invented in Austin, Minnesota and continues to be made there. Take a tour, check out SPAM recipes and sample SPAM.

Ride the Flour Tower
Mill City Museum, built into historic flour mill ruins on Minneapolis’s Mississippi riverfront, tells the story of the flour industry, the river, and the city.
